Celiac Disease
· Important points to remember from celiac disease, people with celiac disease cannot tolerate gluten. If celiac disease is not treated, it will damage the small intestine; nonetheless it will interfere with nutrients absorption. Without treatment, people can develop other problems such as osteoporosis, anemia, and cancer. Not everyone can detect celiac disease symptoms, some may detected it early others it might be developed by the time they detect it. In order to detect it they have to do blood tests, even a biopsy of the small intestine. Celiac disease is hereditary. It is treated by eating a gluten free diet.
· To be able to treat Celiac Disease, the person has to suit themselves with a gluten free diet. Meaning that the person cannot consume grain, pasta, cereal, and other processed foods. Nonetheless they can eat foods such as meat, fish, rice, fruits, and vegetables. They need to also stay away from foods such as wheat, rye, and barely.
· Celiac disease is a disease that can damage the small intestine.
· It stops the absorption of foods, therefore the body not accepting all the nutrients possible.
· Being a celiac disease victim can be really challenging, it takes time and a lot of patience, but all of it helps control the disease.
